Email issues?

Mailfilter.dynamic.net / .com is being migrated which may cause brief outages for some customers who do not have a secondary mx record pointing to backupmail.dynamic.net / .com. Most customers should continue sending/receiving mail without so much as a hiccup. Please open a ticket with us at tickets.dynamic.com if you do experience any email issues. This maintenance window is from Dec 16 @ 1:30pm – 3:30pm PST.

Thanks,
Your Dynamic Support Team

Windows WebServer Outage Restored

The Windows web hosting server has been recovered from a backup on September 21. If you made changes to your site since then, you will need to re-upload your changes. If you need assistance, please contact the office on Monday morning. We open at 7:30am PDT. Dynamic apologizes for any inconveniences caused by this emergency restoration.

Services on one of our Windows web hosting server are suspended while we are rebuilding the server. This particular system has been experiencing intermittent outages, so we are moving your sites to a new server.

Services on our Windows web hosting server have been restored.
Earlier this afternoon, one of our Windows web hosting servers experienced outages preventing some web sites from launching.

Internet Maintenance, COMPLETED at 12:50 PST

Maintenance has been completed and all services are operational. If you are experiencing problems, please open a ticket or call 1.949.215.1200 for emergency support.
The recently upgraded hardware cluster that hosts email.dynamic.net, webmail.dynamic.net, smtp.dynamic.net, as well as some UniBasic/dL4 Cloud Services, web sites and ProStores is being relocated to our Irvine data center this weekend.

Starting at 08:00AM Pacific, the affected servers will be shutdown and transported to Irvine where they will be installed and rebooted. Concurrently, we will relocate your IP addresses to the new data center so that the move is transparent to you and your customers. We anticipate that this process should take about 4 hours, however we are scheduling an 8-hour window to allow additional time for the IP relocation to be recognized world-wide.

You can determine if your specific website, ProStore or UniBasic/dL4 cloud service is affected by ‘pinging’ your website or server to get your IP address. Addresses beginning with 216.158.x.x are affected by this move. Services operating on IP addresses 173.0.x.x are not affected.

We will post updates on these maintenance windows, as well as their completion when services are up and running. You may check on the status of our network services, at any time, by viewing our status posts at:

Internet Services Maintenance on Feb. 7th and 8th

Internet Services Maintenance Windows:

Friday, February 7th: 22:00-23:59 [Aliso Viejo]

Saturday, February 8th: 22:00-23:59 [Latisys Irvine]

Dynamic Concepts is replacing our core Internet Router in our Aliso Viejo data center late Friday evening. Brief outages may occur that could disrupt persistant connections, including Telnet, SSH and remote database connections.

The Aliso Viejo servers affected are:  Client Login services (SSN’s), email.dynamic.netwebmail.dynamic.net,smtp.dynamic.nettower.dynamic.netplesk9.dynamic.net and a set of UniBasic/dL4 cloud and disaster recovery servers.  You can determine if your system is affected by ‘pinging’ your website or server to get your IP address.  Addresses beginning with 216.158.x.x are in Aliso Viejo.

Late Saturday evening, February 8th, Dynamic Concepts is upgrading our network topology in our Irvine data center to add additional redundancy to our core routers and switches. When we test failover redundancy, brief outages may occur that could disrupt persistant connections, including Telnet, SSH and remote database connections.

You can determine if your system is affected by ‘pinging’ your website or server  to get your IP address.  Addresses beginning with 173.0.x.x are in Irvine.

These upgrades are part of a larger maintenance window, currently scheduled for Saturday morning, February 15th, when all remaining servers and services in Aliso Viejo will be moved to our new data center in Irvine. A separate notification and details will be forthcoming.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We will post updates on these maintenance windows, as well as their completion when services are up and running. You may check on the status of our network services, at any time, by viewing our status posts at:

smtp.dynamic.net

We are having technical difficulties with smtp.dynamic.net and will be replacing the server over the next 48-hours.  Please do not open a  ticket, as we are monitoring this closely. There may be delays in the acceptance and delivery of email from this server. If you receive any bounces with the error “Delayed”, don’t worry. SMTP services are designed to automatically retry and such notifications are informational only.

PLANNED POWER OUTAGE AT OUR ALISO VIEJO DATA CENTER

SC Edison has scheduled an electrical outage, Friday August 16th at 22:00 thru Saturday Aug. 17th at 06:00 PDT. Because our servers are protected by UPS and standby power generation, the  disruption is not expected to affect the servers and services hosted in our Aliso Viejo Data Center.

While most of our customers and services operate from our new data center in Irvine, e-mail services (smtp, email and webmail), legacy websites and ProStores are still delivered from our Aliso Viejo facility.
